5th World Cowpea Research Conference 2010

(nigerianbioscientist.com; july,2010) Cowpea experts from across the globe will converge in the historic city of Dakar, Senegal from 27 September to 1 October 2010 for the 5th World Cowpea Research Conference.

Call for papers and submission guidelines

Conference topics

Genetic improvement

Cowpea grain and seed storage

Processing and enterprise development

Plant health management

Human nutrition and health

Cropping systems and agronom

Molecular tools

Economics and technology transfer

Crop-livestock integration

Seed systems



Papers are called for on the topics outlined above. Abstracts of no more than 300 words should be submitted before 31 May 2010. Abstracts should clearly state the purpose, results, and conclusions of the work to be described in the final paper. Abstracts should be submitted electronically.

After acceptance, authors are requested to submit their full-length papers according to the set guidelines.

Important dates

Deadline for abstracts submission 31 May

Abstracts approval and contact with presenters 16 July

Full paper submission 30 September

Deadline for early registration 16 July
